This is the beautiful Manila Peninsula hotel, or "Manila Pen", in Makati, the Philippines. Situated at the corner of Ayala and Makati avenue, this was the venue for my senior high school prom more than twenty years ago. 

More recently it made headlines as the venue for a failed coup attempt by disgruntled military officers.
